Headwaters Youth Conservation Corps, an AmeriCorps National Service Program serving the Upper Susquehanna and Chenango River Watersheds, in partnership with NYS DEC Rogers Environmental Education Center is recruiting for one Environmental Educator corpsmember positions. The position will serve in partnership with 4H of Chenango County. The term of service will begin May 16, 2006 and will end on August 12, 2006. The two candidates selected will receive training for their first four weeks of service through the Rogers Environmental Interpretation Institute in Sherburne, NY. Housing may be available. COLLEGE CREDIT AVAILABLE!!!!

Applicants must be 17 – 25 years of age.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants who are interested in pursuing a
teaching career in environmental education or natural sciences are
preferred. Application Deadline: Aapril 15th, 2006, or until both positions are filled.
The Environmental Educators will enhance the environmental education programs of the 4H curricula. Technical assistance will be provided by the NYS DEC Rogers Environmental Education Center staff. The scope of work is expected to include the following responsibilities and activities:
