Rogers Environmental Education Center

  • HYCC has partnered with Rogers for over 6 years!  NYS DEC has a history of working with Youth Corps and HYCC is the latest in a wonderful working relationship between the State, its Youth and the environment.

NY State Department of Environmental Conservation - Division of Lands & Forests

  • The Division of Lands and Forests manages public lands in New York State and provides leadership in forestry and forest management. The Department of Environmental Conservation cares for about four million acres of state owned land or 13 percent of the land area of New York State.

Norwich Family YMCA
  • "Building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities."

  • Our first 'major' partner.  The Norwich Family YMCA has been there from the beginning and the relationship that has developed between HYCC and the YMCA has blossomed into a perfect combination of youth development and getting done work that needs to be completed.  Both agencies accomplish their missions with this relationship!

Corporation for National and Community Service
  • The Corporation for National and Community Service provides opportunities for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to serve their communities and country through three programs: Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America. Members and volunteers serve with national and community nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and local agencies to help meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other critical areas. The Corporation is part of USA Freedom Corps, a White House initiative to foster a culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility, and help all Americans answer the President's Call to Service.

NY State Corps Collaboration
  • NYSCC provides a unified voice for youth corps programs in New York State.

AmeriCorps

  • AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs that engage more than 50,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps members serve through more than 2,100 nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based organizations. They tutor and mentor youth, build affordable housing, teach computer skills, clean parks and streams, run after-school programs, and help communities respond to disasters. Created in 1993, AmeriCorps is part of the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also oversees Senior Corps and Learn and Serve America. Together these programs engage more than 2 million Americans of all ages and backgrounds in service each year.

National Association of Service and Conservation Corps
  • NASCC is the leader of the national corps community promoting growth, quality, and sustainability of corps. NASCC’s vision is for well-funded, high-quality corps serving every community.

Finger Lakes Trails Conference
  • The mission of the Finger Lakes Trail Conference is to build, protect, and enhance a continuous footpath across New York State, Forever!

  • HYCC has participated in several projects with this veteran organization, to include trail re-routing, trail maintenance, lean-to construction and privy installation.  We hope to continue to work more closely with these 'hard corps' trail users!!  Great organization!

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County

Otsego County Conservation Association

  • OCCA is dedicated to the protection, appreciation, and enhancement of the natural resources within Otsego County.  OCCA's activities are predicated on the belief that the natural environment is inherently valuable; a well-informed public will enjoy and respect our natural heritage; working in partnership with public and private institutions is the best way to achieve our goals; local gov't should take a leadership role in land-use planning, solid waste management, and in enacting and enforcing conservation and land-use laws; regional and long-term perspectives should be considered when judging the possible effects of any alterations in the natural environment.

  • To achieve its mission, OCCA will work in cooperation with both public and private entities to promote policies and programs designed to protect the county's water, air, soils, wildlife and natural landscapes for current and future generations.  As need be, OCCA may act as a conduit for federal, state, and local grants.  It will also produce educational materials and conduct workshops on pertinent environmental issues; encourage sustainable agriculture, forestry, and prudent use of all our natural resources; promote appreciation and enjoyment of the abundant wildlife and scenic beauty of Otsego County.
